On 6th of May 2012, a Milad Conference was arranged in the centre of MQI Oslo by MWL Norway on the subject of ‘Love of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) and the role of women’.

It was Alhamdulillah a great success with almost 800 participants who had gathered there to listen to Sister Ghazala Hassan Qadri.

Almost 100 sisters participated from MWL Drammen. The keynote speaker was Sister Ghazala Hassan Qadri, member of the Supreme Council (MQI) and General Secretary of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League International from Canada. Guest of honour on the occasion was Mrs Jamila Ghafoor, mother of Sister Ghazala Hassan Qadri and founder of MWL UK.

Other guests included MWL Denmark Baji Kanwal Butt (president Velby Centre), Dr Shazia Rana, Baji Kokab Oppal, Baji Bushra Khalid, Baji Shabana. MWL Drammen, Representer of Jamat Ahle Sunnat, World Islamic Mission, Islamic Culture Centre, Gausia Masjid, Bazm-e-Naqashband, Rabita Masjid, Muslim Center Furuset.

The program began with recitation from the Holy Qur’an by sister Amina Zaffar followed by a ‘Naat’ by Sheema Naat Council.

Baji Rubina Tariq former vice president in MWL Oslo & recently serving in MEC (Minhaj Education Centre), then welcomed the audience and gave a beautiful introduction of Sister Ghazala Hassan Qadri.

A student from MEC (Minhaj Education Centre OSLO), Arham Shabbir, then delivered a beautiful short speech in Norwegian on the topic of ‘Rights of our Parents’.

Then Sheema Naat Council presented beautifully a ‘manqbat on Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri.

Respected Mrs Jamila Gafoor, founder of MWL UK, recited naat ashaar in unique style in the praise of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W), creating a lovely atmosphere.

Sister Ghazala Hassan Qadri began her lecture with the recitation of some verses from Holy Quran. She emphasized that efforts have been made to distort our true creed and weaken our strong connection with our beloved Prophet (SAW).

Sister Ghazala Hassan Qadri then discussed at length the basics of our ‘Iman’ wherein our relationship with the Holy Prophet (SAW) is the focal point of our faith. She described that Allah (S.W.T) speaks to His Prophets who pass on the Devine message to the people. She emphasized that ‘Risalat’ is the first step or pillar to comprehend ‘Tawheed’ (Monotheism) and our beloved Prophet is our guide and our teacher. Without a firm belief in our Holy Prophet and without understanding the significance of ‘Risalat’, it is impossible to even imagine understanding ‘Tawheed’ (Oneness of God).

She provided multiple pieces of evidence from the Holy Qur’an about the true status of the Holy Prophet (SAW) and about the need to develop extreme love for him in our hearts. She also concluded with some unique quotations from Hadith.

Sister Ghazala Hassan Qadri explained that the importance of the love of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) equalling it that of a spirit in our body. The same way the spirit of the body of Deen is Love of The Holy Prophet (S.A.W). We are called dead body (a mayyat) when the spirit is taken away from our body. In the same way all the Amaal (actions) are to be considered dead if they are without the spirit of love and respect of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W). And all the deeds (amaal) will not be beneficial at all.

Sister Ghazala Hassan Qadri urged the participants to be a part of an organization which is struggling to spread the true message of Islam and love and respect of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) to protect our and our children’s faith (Iman). She stressed that it is obligatory upon every women to work for peace and harmony in the world.

The participants took keen interest in her speech and appreciated her contents as well as the style of delivery of speech.

Sister Ghazala Qadri also referred the sisters to the many works of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhamad Tahir-ul-Qadri. All of the participants were urged to purchase CD’s, DVD’s and books of Shaykh-ul-Islam and reminded that Shaykh-ul-Islam doesn’t take a single penny from the sale. All proceeds of the sale go towards supporting the numerous projects of MQI.

At the end, President MWL Norway respected Rafia Rauf said that the success of the conference happened due to special love and spiritual attention of Shaykh-ul-Islam. She further announced that we will continue to hold such conferences as it is the need of the hour as a vast majority of Muslims living in the West are confused or misguided about the status of the Holy Prophet (SAW). She said that she wished to see Sister Ghazala Hassan Qadri again next year. She thanked all MQI forums who worked hard day and night for the success of the conference.

The conference came to end with a special Dua by respected Mrs Jamila Ghafoor and ‘Salaam’ on the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) led by Sheema Naat Council.

Ayesha Iqbal Khan (Vice President MWL) conducted the proceedings as stage secretary. An excellent book stall was organized which proved to be a great success. The books which topped the sale chart included:

  • Irfan-ul-Quran
  • Minhaj-us-Sawee
  • Sirat-ur-Rasool (S.A.W)
  • Hadyat-ul-Umma
  • Fatwa
  • Books on the topic of Ishaq-o-adab Mustafa (S.A.W)
  • Books on importance of durood
  • CD’s and DVD’s of Shaykh-ul-Islam on different subjects

Arrangements for sumptuous dinner were made for the participants. May Allah Almighty accept the hard efforts of all those involved. All the credit goes to our much loved and respected leader Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri as without his guidance we would have never been able to manage celebration of the birth of our Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) with such love and respect while living in such an era where efforts have been made to distort our true creed and weaken our strong connection with our beloved Prophet (SAW).

May Allah (S.W.T) give Shaykh-ul-Islam a long and healthy life!
