A farewell ceremony was held on October 15, 2010 (Friday) in the honour of Pakistani-Minhajian students who completed their studies from the world-renowned Al-Azhar University during session 2009-2010. Sahibzada Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, president of MQI’s Supreme Council, presided over the ceremony, while Dr Hafiz Ghulam Muhammad Qamar Al-Azhari also attended the programme.

Sahibzada Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri reaches Hong Kong on a five-day tour

Sahibzada Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, the younger son of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri and the president of MQI’s Federal Council, reached Hong Kong on a five-day tour on November 6, 2010. A large number of workers of MQI including its patron Niaz Muhammad Khan, president Muhammad Sikander Baacha and Muhammad Nasim Naqshbandi welcomed the respected guest on his arrival at the airport.

Construction of Islamic Centre Murree enters its last phase

MWF Faisalabad thanks donors for flood victims for their generous help

The central camp was set up at Dar-ul-Uloom Nooria Rizvia Gulburg - A Faisalabad, under the supervision of Sayyid Hamiat Rasool Qadri. All donations and goods collected were sent to MQI Secretariat for their onward dispatch to the flood hit areas. Rana Karamat Ali, president of MQI (PP-62), donated all his expenditure of Hajj to the flood hit people in compliance with the command of his leader.

7-day Irfan-ul-Quran Course launched in 20 cities

Directorate of Dawa of Minhaj-ul-Quran International launched 7-day Irfan-ul-Quran Course in 20 cities of Punjab in the holy month of Ramadan. The cities included Lahore, Muridkay, Gujranwala, Shakargarh, Norowal, Sambrial, Wazirabad, Mandi Bahuddin, Chakwwal, Haveeli Lakha, Cheecha Watni, Mian Channu, Khanewal, Gojra, Jahanian, Multan, Dunypur, Lohdhran, and Layya. Thousands of people would attend these courses after the Fajr prayers.

MQI Daska takes out rally against attack on shrine of Baba Farid (RA)

Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League Kamonki reorganized

Minhaj Welfare Foundation ongoing efforts: Winter Project

Minhaj Welfare Foundation carried out its 7th relief activity program in Swat. The main area of focus was establishing free medical camps and distributing blankets in Mangora, White Palace, Kalam, Ushoo, Band Qila and Matal Tan. Thousands of volunteers dispersed the mountainous, extremely cold area of Swat distributing relief aid to the thousands of people waiting in anticipation for help. With the help of the Army and the use of the helicopter, volunteers of MWF were able to allocate aid to more and more people.

A marriage ceremony was held in Minhaj Tent Settlement in Akora Khattak under the banner of Minhaj Welfare Foundation on October 11, 2010. The venue was decorated very beautifully. Director of MWF Sayyid Iftikhar Shah Bokhari, provincial Amir Mushtaq sahib, Tariq Naqshbandi, Khawaja Muhammad Ashraf, Engineer Afzal Ghous, Muhammad Tariq, Sayyid Altaf Hussain Shah, Asim Ameer Khan, and Khalid Durrani participated in the ceremony. The 500 guests including flood affectees of Charsadda and relatives of brides and grooms also attended the ceremony.

A Birmingham moot eulogizes Shaykh-ul-Islam’s services
