MWF raises £ 30,000 in one evening in Derby

A fundraising event in Derby raised money for the victims of the Pakistan floods. A dinner and charity auction at the Heritage Hotel in Derby’s city centre was arranged on a very cold evening on Sunday 12th December.

MQI’s representatives meet the British Prime Minister at 10 Downing Street

On the occasion of the Eid al Adha, the British Prime Minister David Cameron hosted British Muslims to celebrate the Islamic festival at 10 Downing Street on Monday 22nd of November 2010. More than 100 British Muslim leaders from different walks of life attended the Eid al Adha reception in which the Prime Minister congratulated the British Muslims on this auspicious occasion and met various British Muslims leaders across Britain.

MWF’s Overseas Qurbani Campaign 2010

MWF has a vast network, whose vibrancy and dynamism was visible during the relief and rescue operations following the worst floods in Pakistan’s history.

A Birmingham moot eulogizes Shaykh-ul-Islam’s services

A large of number of distinguished religious scholars, intellectuals and local jurists met on October 18, 2010 to pay tribute to Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri for his scholarly and intellectual services. MQI Birmingham arranged the intellectual gathering. The proceedings of the ceremony got underway with recitation from the Holy Quran followed by Naat. Chand Raat Fundraiser

As Eid drew near, keeping the victims of the floods in mind, the Women League of Glasgow organised a Chand Raat fundraiser. Maheen Kauser, Ambreen Mehmood and Sanam Arshad spent the three days leading up to Eid in a local ladies shop so people could come and have mehndi. The President of Women League Safina Tahir was also present and ensured that everything ran smoothly. Every single penny raised was given in aid of the flood victims and the total came to be £300.00.

MYL UK Opens Head Office

Sixth Annual ‘al-Hidayah 2010’ held in Britain

Football Tournament in Aid of Orphans

DOZENS of youngsters put their skills on the pitch in a Football Tournament in aid of orphans around the world. 112 youngsters played football at Power League off Jenkins Lane in Newham to help raise money for orphans. Teams consisting of seven players each played for four hours with semi-finals and finals played on the same day. The Summer Football Tournament was held on Saturday 31st July 2010. Youngsters participated from across the London Boroughs of Newham, Barking & Dagenham and Waltham Forest.

Question and Answer session with Sir William Patey

Singapore’s Minister for Foreign Affairs calls on Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

Farewell Graduation Ceremony & Parents Evening at MSIS London

A record collection worth £2150 was earned at the Meena Bazaar organized by Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League (London) on Sunday 30th May 2010. The chief organizer of this hugely enjoyable and very successful afternoon was the new President of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League – London, Sister Zarida Shafique. Although it was a cloudy day, a large number of locals attended. There was some really special food at rock bottom prices prepared and donated by the whole of the Women’s League- London, together with all kinds of bric-a-brac.

Commons Seminar presents solutions to tackle non-violent extremism

Youth Conference demolishes extremist ideology

The conference entitled as 'Jihad Hijacked, was organised by Muslim Youth League UK (MYL UK). The keynote speaker on the occasion was Sahibzada Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri who gave a comprehensive lecture on the true Islamic concept of Jihad. Sahibzada Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri explained that the 31 verses of the Holy Quran mentioned non-violent forms of Jihad such as struggling to gain knowledge, spirituality, charity and character reformation.

The third monthly youth dhikr session held at London

The third monthly youth dhikr session was held at London secretariat of Minhaj-ul Quran International. During the session, the speakers expressed their vies on ‘Love of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) by the Sahabah (ra)’. The proceedings of the meeting got underway with the recitation of the holy Quran by Hafiz Ibn Jameel, followed by Na'at by Ahmed Raza.

Salman Ahmad of Junoon visits Minhaj-ul-Quran London

A leading Pakistani pop star Salman Ahmed of Junoon group visited the Minhaj-ul-Quran International UK London centre to attend a Sufi Zhikr gathering that attracted hundreds of young British Muslims on the evening of Saturday 22 May 2010. In his brief address Salman praised the recent "fatwa on terrorism" by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri against extremism and said that Islam was a religion of peace that promotes brotherhood and harmony.
