The First Secretary, Embassy of Germany visits Minhaj University Lahore

The First Secretary, Head of Cultural Section, Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, Islamabad, Katharina Lack paid a visit to Minhaj University, Lahore. The visit lasted for about three hours. She held meetings with the Vice Chancellor, Deans and Officers of the University and informed the participants about the educational assistance various agencies in Germany can provide to this seat of learning.

Mawlid celebrated at ‘Peace in the Mix’

Eminent scholars speak at the Prophet’s birth celebration

A prominent Scholar of Kuwait His Excellency Fadila al-Shaykh al-Sayyid Yusuf ibn al-Sayyid Hashim ibn al-Sayyid Ahmad al-Rifai spoke at a two day event commencing 6th – 7th March 2010 in London’s historical Brick Lane Mosque on the permissibility of commemorating the Prophet’s birth celebrations.

Historical Launching of Fatwa Against Terrorism

32 couples tie knot at a mass marriage ceremony under MWF

On March 14, 2010, Minhaj Welfare Foundation arranged a mass marriage ceremony of 32 couples in Township, Lahore. The ceremony was held in the vast ground of Minhaj University where beautiful arrangements were made including the decoration of the venue.

MQI UK hosts interfaith moot

Grand Mawlid Festival 2010 in Netherlands

On 14th of March 2010, Minhaj Youth League held a grand Mawlid Festival for Muslim youth in the Netherlands. It is the largest Mawlid gathering in Dutch which attracted more than 900 people from different ethnic backgrounds. Annual Milad-un-Nabi Conference 2010 at Bowman Hall, Blacktown, Sydney, Australia

First Milad ceremony in the Baptist Church in the sub-continental history

The special Milad ceremony was held in February 2010 in a local Church for the first time in the history of Pakistan. Hosted by Reverend Chaman Sardar, chairman of Mother Teresa Welfare Society and the Christian community in the Baptist Church in Shahadrah Lahore, the ceremony was named as Mawlid-un-Nabi Conference. For centuries on end, the Muslims have been celebrating the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet (blessings and peace be upon him), which has now become a symbol of cross-cultural and inter-religious harmony and call towards establishing durable peace in the world.

Fatwa against Terrorism Launched in Islamabad

Inauguration ceremony of Fatwa of Shyakh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, a comprehensive book of 600 pages, was held in the Holiday Inn Hotel in Islamabad under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran International and Minhaj Ulama Council. Addressing the ceremony, Minister of State for Information Syed Samsam Bokhari said that Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri is the lover of the Holy Prophet (saw), his household and holds the saints and Sufis in great reverence.

International Mawlid-un-Nabi Conference 2010 under MQI

Minhaj Ambulance Service launched

Minhaj Welfare Foundation has started its ambulance service in the Wandu area (PP-99) of Gujranwala. With this addition, the total number of ambulances under MWF has increased to 25. The inaugural ceremony was held on February 9, 2010 where Iftikhar Shah Bokhari, central Deputy Director of MWF, was the chief guest on the occasion. He handed over the keys of the ambulance to the Director welfare of the Wandu area.

Minhaj-ul-Quran Ulama Council hosts Milad Feast

Allama Muhammad Asghar Saddiqui, principal of Jamia Saddiquia Bagbanpura, Mufti Muhammad Zaman Ayazi, principal of Jamia Farooqia Iqbal Town, Sahibzada Muhammad Shahzad Mujadadi, renowned religious scholar and president of Ulama Council, and Hafiz Abdul Qayyum from Rahim Yar Khan were the guests of honour on the occasion.

Second day of Milad feast

Milad Celebrations 2010 commence at MQI Central Secretariat

Minorities pay tribute to Shaykh-ul-Islam
