Bradford Lord Mayor Naveeda Ikram visits MYL sisters stall; appreciates Shaykh-ul-Islam’s work

On Friday 15th July, MYL sisters arrived, set up a MYL stall outside the Westgate Church under a graying cloudy sky. But despite the cold, a large number of people turned up. Bradford’s Lord Mayor, Naveeda Ikram, the first Muslim Asian woman to become Lord Mayor in UK, made a personal appearance. Admiring the effort she went round the stall. The MYL team introduced her to Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri's work, which led to talking about MYL and their activities. She was impressed by the work MYL had done and paid tribute to the work of Shaykh ul Islam. She purchased the Fatwa on Terrorism by Shatkh-ul-Islam. MYL also gave her an introductory booklet of Shaykh-ul-Islam and Minhaj-ul-Quran International. She praised the team and told them to keep up the good work.

The MYL sister’s team managed to secure more fatwa sales and many people were interested in coming to the Wimble Conference in September this year. It was an important day for MYL; they achieved recognition from the Lord Mayor. This will help MYL establish itself further and enjoy many more days like this.
