UK: Mawlid-un-Nabi ceremonies be held for promotion of peace and love

On the 26th of January 2014, Young Girls from the Islamic Study Circle in Halifax held their first annual Milad-un-Nabi programme at the Minhaj Education Project Centre in Halifax. They recited lovely naats and nasheeds in the honour of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him). Speeches were delivered to highlight the ‘Sirah’ of the Prophet (peace be upon him). The speakers urged the need of celebrating Mawlid ceremonies to promote a culture of love, peace and harmony in their respective societies. They said that such occasion also helped in strengthening our bonds with the person of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him). The parents also attended the event to encourage their children.
