Shaykh-ul-Islam addresses the Minhaj Youth League’s Foundation Day Convention at Aiwan-e-Iqbal
Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, founder and patron-in-chief of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, has stated that youth should become representatives of Islam and ambassadors of peace. He said that educated and conscientious youth are the secure future of the nation, adding that to transform the destiny of the country, young people must take up the role of proactive educators. He said that the journey of education never ends; progress belongs to those who continuously pursue knowledge. He asked the youth to strengthen their character and become a guiding light for the nation.
"The youth's knowledge, character, and positive mindset are guarantees of national progress. For building the nation’s character, become educators and remain lifelong learners. This country needs compassionate, aware, educated, and practical teachers," he emphasized.
Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri expressed these views while addressing the National Youth Convention held at Aiwan-e-Iqbal, Lahore, on the 36th Foundation Day of Minhaj Youth League.
Speaking at the convention, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, PAT & MQI Secretary General, said that Minhaj Youth League serves as a role model for young people, providing knowledge, love, tolerance, and moderation. He said that Shaykh-ul-Islam has nurturesthe youth like his own children, illuminating their hearts with the light of knowledge and peace.
Rana Waheed Shehzad, President of Minhaj Youth League, expressed his gratitude for having the mentorship and guidance of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. He said that under the leadership of Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri and Prof. Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, a responsible, patriotic, and enlightened youth is being developed through the platform of Minhaj-ul-Quran.
Dr. Imran Younis, General Secretary of Minhaj Youth League, welcomed the participants in his introductory remarks. A large number of young people attended the convention.
Speeches were also delivered by Zafar Iqbal Khan, Saqib Azhar, and other leaders. Notable attendees included Brigadier (R) Umar Hayat, Mian Murtaza Murtazai, Dr. Nadeem Ishaq Khan, Dr. Hassan Farooq Mishwani, Hafiz Salman Azam, Bashir Khan Lodhi, Sajid Mehmood Bhatti, Mansoor Bilal, Shoaib Tahir, Babar Chaudhry, Mansoor Qasim Awan, Ishtiaq Hanif Mughal, Malik Saeed Alam, Tayyab Zia, Prof. Zulfiqar, Chaudhry Amjad, Haroon Sani, Saeed Alam, Babar Chaudhry, Ismail Inam, Abdul Hannan Tahir, Sidra Karamat, Umm-e-Habiba Ismail, and Ayesha Mubashar, along with many young attendees.
The event concluded with the cutting of the 36th Foundation Day cake and prayers for the safety and prosperity of the country.
