In March 2004, Shaykh-ul-Islam left for 7-day tour of neighbouring country Bangladesh accompanied by Nazim-e-Ala Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbassi and Amir-e-Tehreek Punjab Ahmad Nawaz Anjum.

Upon his arrival at the Dhaka International Airport, he was received by the high officials of Pakistani embassy and Maulana Hassam-ud-Din (Secretary General, Anjaman-e-Islah Bangladesh) along with his senior office bearers. He addressed a press conference and held various meetings with different people on March 18. He left for Silhit city on the same day where he delivered a speech on the topic of "Legal status of celebrations of the birth of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).” A sumptuous dinner was given in his honour attended by top religious scholars from Egypt, Kuwait, India, US and Bangladesh. He also delivered a concluding address in the two-day conference. Later on, he visited many places and held meetings with traders. He organized the organization of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Bangladesh in addition to visiting shrines of different Sufi saints.
