PAT set to observe Youm-e-Shuhada today

Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) is set to observe Youm-e-Shuhada today (Sunday).

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Awami Tehreek will observe Youm-e-Shuhada today at the Tehreek-e-Minhajul Quran secretariat in Model Town.

Quran Khawani for the martyrs of Model Town tragedy and Pak Army personnel who laid their lives during operation Zarb-e-Azb in South Waziristan will be held at the Tehreek-e-Minhajul Quran (TMQ) secretariat today (Sunday).

A large number of PAT workers will attend the programme which will start at 1:00pm. Pakistan Awami Tehreek chief Dr. Tahirul ‎Qadri will address the participants after Quran Khawani.

On the other hand, Pakistan Awami Tehreek president Raeeq Abbasi has said that the government had decided to conduct a raid at Tehreek-e-Minhajul Quran secretariat today to arrest Dr Tahirul Qadri.

Talking to media outside Minhajul Quran secretariat, he said that helicopter would be used to drop special commandos at the residence of Dr Tahirul Qadri to detain him.

Raeeq Abbasi urged government to refrain from such tactics and said that PAT workers would adopt every possible measure to protect PAT chief Dr Tahirul Qadri.
