Politics of honesty & truthfulness shown the door: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri
Addressing the 23rd foundation day of Mustafavi Students Movement (MSM), PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that those who elected Nawaz Sharif, ousted and disqualified by the SC as the President of the party, have actually offered a funeral prayer for the politics of honesty, transparency and truthfulness. He said that those appeasing a certified dishonest person will find their faces blackened in the mirror of history.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that whether it is an attack on the belief in the finality of Prophethood or a poisonous campaign against judiciary and national security institutions or threats hurled at the patriotic anchors and honest officers investigating corruption cases, the purpose of such actions is only to spread anarchy, bring the institutions under pressure and to avoid punishment. He, however, added in the same breath that educated, patriotic and politically aware youth of Pakistan will expose the fascist tactics of the political elite.
The PAT Chairman said that he had exposed the political, economic and ideological crimes of the political elite and their agenda of rendering the foundations of the country hollow 27 years ago in 1989. He said that Allah Almighty be thanked that the national institutions have got a clarity on this count and it is for this reason that path-breaking decisions have been taken. He said that this process of supremacy of law and accountability should not stop at all, warning that otherwise this rare and golden opportunity to cleanse Pakistan of corruption and oppression will be lost. He congratulated MSM on the 23rd foundation day.
Addressing the foundation day ceremony of MSM, Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that the students belonging to MSM are at the vanguard of peaceful struggle for revolution and change. He said that we are proud of our patriotic and ideological workers who have braved the worst circumstances but kept the banner of truth and patriotism afloat.
PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, MSM President Irfan Yousaf, Rafique Najam, Rana Tajammul, Zia-ur-Rehman, Ahsan Ayaz, Mian Ansar, Younis Noshahi, Iqra Yousaf Jami and other students spoke on the occasion.
Irfan Yousaf said in his speech that we are endeavoring for a Pakistan where there is uniform curriculum, education is available to all without any discrimination and no one is above the law of the land. He said that doctors, engineers, professors and businessmen emerged from the platform of MSM who are playing their role in the socio-economic development of Pakistan.
A resolution adopted on the occasion paid rich tributes to the martyrs of Model Town tragedy and demanded immediate release of Justice Najfi Commission report.
A cake was cut to mark the foundation day and a special prayer was made for progress and prosperity of the country. Former presidents and secretary generals of MSM attended the ceremony.
