Service to humanity is the core teaching of Sufis: Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri
In a statement on the 782nd 'Urs' of renowned Sufi Saint of the Indian sub-continent Hazrat Bahauddin Zakariya Multani, Chairman MQI Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri has said that the Sufis would always educate and teach people to treat their fellow human beings with love, compassion, and affection. They would share the sufferings and hardships of the people for the pleasure of Allah. They would address the worries and problems of Allah's creations. He said that these Sufis were the best of His creations due to their conduct, attitude, and teachings that were marked by the love of humanity without any discrimination of caste, creed, and color.
Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that it is due to their selfless service to humanity that these Servants of Allah continue to be remembered even today despite the passage of hundreds of years. He said their teachings contained in the books they wrote are still the source of guidance and knowledge for the seekers of truth.
Chairman Supreme Council said that Hazrat Bahauddin Zakariya Multani (RA) was a paragon of perfection in the acquisition of internal and external knowledge. He learned the Holy Quran by heart at a young age and traveled to the Arab world to seek knowledge of the Holy Quran and Sunna. He said that the Sufis are the constant learners of knowledge and every Sufi is also a credible religious scholar of his time. He said that Hazrat Bahauddin Multani was not just Qari and Hafiz but also a 'Muhaddith' and 'Mufassir'.
Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, while paying rich tributes to the services of the renowned Sufi-Saint, said that he was a great preacher. He said that Pakistan is a land of Allah's friends and it is our firm belief that Allah will protect Pakistan due to the blessed souls of these pious Sufis. He further said that the youth should make the study of the teachings and lives of these blessed people of Allah part of their routine in order to attain the right path.
