Dua ceremony held for the departed soul of Dr Mumtaz-ul-Hassan
A Dua ceremony was held in Jamy Shaykh-ul-Islam for the departed soul of Dr Mumtaz-ul-Hassan, a longtime associate of MQI and former vice-chancellor of prestigious King Edward Medical University. Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri led the prayer, whereas Chairman MQI Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, President MQI Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur and other central and divisional leaders of the various forums of MQI attended the Dua ceremony.
Talking about his relationship with late Dr Mumtaz-ul-Hassan, Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that they had known each other since 1980. He said that he was the best medical practitioner and doctor who put the welfare of the ailing humanity at the heart of his mission. He said that he was a man of excellent manners who would treat patients with care and empathy. He said that Dr Mumtaz-ul-Hassan’s life was an incarnation of piety and goodness. He would come to the people’s rescue as and when needed and often proactively. He said that the late Doctor was a legend in his field who established a benchmark of professional excellence. He prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in peace.
The proceedings of Dua ceremony got underway with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Qari Allah Baksh Naaqashbandi and Qari Khalid Hameed Kazmi followed by Naat that was recited by Shakeel Tahir. A special Dua was made for the ease and comfort of the departed soul on the occasion.
The prayer was ceremony was attended by the sons of Dr Mumtaz-ul-Hassan, namely Muhammad Kamran Mumtaz, Mustafa Mumtaz, Badar Mumtaz and other family members as well as Rafique Najam, GM Malik, Syed Altaf Hussain Gilani, Allama Mir Asif Akbar, Noorullah Siddiqui, Raja Zahid Mahmood, Sohail Raza, Farooq Rana, Allama Ghulam Murtaza Alvi, Irfan Yousaf, Qazi Faiz-ul-Islam, Sardar Umar Daraz, Naeem-ud-Din Chaudhry Advocate, Sarfraz Khan, Maqsood Qadri and other leaders.
