Dr Hussain Qadri message on Iqbal Day

President MQI Prof Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri has said that the Muslim community came into being with the Quranic word “Iqra”. He expressed his regret on the fact that those whose existence owed itself to knowledge have been left far behind in the race of acquiring it.

In his message on the Iqbal Day, Prof Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that the poetry of Iqbal reflects the decline of Muslims in the field of moral training and education and the poet of the East was worried over the sad state of affairs.

He said that knowledge shows humanity the path to progress and better. He said that Allama Muhammad Iqbal was not only a towering intellectual for the Muslim world but the people of other faiths, cultures and regions also benefited from his philosophical scholarship. In his poetry and prose, he taught Muslims the need to attain the goal of self-sufficiency.

Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that Allama Iqbal termed “khudi” (self) the governing principle of individual and collective. He said that we should ponder over and implement the teachings of Iqal in our quest to become an honour, dignified and self-sufficient nation.
