The 73rd birthday of Shaykh-ul-Islam celebrated across the world
On February 19, 2024, the 73rd birthday of the founder and leader of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, was celebrated in Pakistan and around the world. The festivities began with the recitation of the Holy Quran and gatherings of praise for Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Celebrations of Shaykh-ul- Islam Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri's birthday took place in Islamic centers in more than 100 countries, including the central secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran International.
The speakers and MQI office-holders praised Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri’s services in the fields of education, Quranic studies, interfaith harmony, and global peace. Under the auspices of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, debate competitions and other academic events were organized in schools, colleges, and Minhaj University throughout the country. In these events, prayers were offered for the health, long life, and well-being of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, as well as for the prosperity and security of the nation.
The ‘peace ambassador’ seminars were also held across the country. Various events, including book exhibitions featuring the works of Shaykh-ul-Islam were also organized under the auspices of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League, Minhaj Youth League, and Mustafavi Students Movement in different districts. Youth belonging to Minhaj Youth League and Mustafavi Students Movement donated blood as part of the celebration.
