Flag-hoisted ceremony held at the central secretariat on Independence Day

A special ceremony was held at the central secretariat of MQI to celebrate the 77th Independence Day. A cake was cut, the flag was hoisted, and prayers were offered for the prosperity and stability of the country. The leaders present at the ceremony renewed their commitment to protecting the motherland from all dangers and to building an Islamic welfare state in accordance with the vision of the founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. A large number of leaders from Pakistan Awami Tehreek and Minhaj-ul-Quran participated in the event.

While addressing the ceremony, Deputy Nazim-e-Ala of MQI, Engineer Muhammad Rafiq Najam, said that living nations celebrate their Independence Day with a renewed commitment to making their country a true welfare state. A free homeland is the result of the great sacrifices of our forefathers. Freedom is a precious blessing from Allah. The independence and sovereignty of a country and nation are above personal or party interests.

Rafiq Najam said Pakistan is the trust of the martyrs, and the 14th of August holds the status of a milestone in our history. He said that this blessed day was the one that brought the Muslims of the subcontinent to their true destination, i.e., freedom. Such days hold great importance in the history of nations because they learn a lot from them and strive to reach their desired goals.

Today, we stand at a point in history where we must continue the struggle to build our future by learning from our past. The occasion demands that we, as a nation, pledge on this Independence Day to play our role in saving and strengthening Pakistan, he added.

The ceremony was attended by Syed Altaf Shah Gilani, Sohail Ahmed Raza, Shehzad Rasool, Chaudhry Afzal Gujjar, Shafqat Mughal, Hafiz Ghulam Fareed, Saqib Bhatti, Sardar Arif, Sajjad Khan, Saeed Akhtar, Syed Mahmood-ul-Hasan Jafri, Sidra Karamat, Ayesha Mubashir, Noreen Alvi, and other leaders and workers.
