Solidarity freedom march held under Aagosh Complex
A vibrant flag-hoisting ceremony and a solidarity march were held at Aghosh Orphan Care Home, a subsidiary of Minhaj-ul-Quran, on the occasion of the 77th Independence Day.
The event saw a large participation of teachers and students. Colonel (Retired) Mubashir Iqbal, Director of Aghosh Complex, addressed the participants of the march, stating that freedom is a priceless blessing from Allah. The freedom and sovereignty of a country and its people are above any individual or group.
Col. Mubashir said Pakistan is a trust from the martyrs. He highlighted that August 14th is a milestone in our history, marking the day that led the Muslims of the Indian subcontinent to their true destination, freedom. Such days, he said, hold great significance in the history of nations because they learn much from them and strive to reach their goals.
“Today, we stand at a critical juncture in history where we must continue the struggle to build our future by learning lessons from our past,” he said.
The march was also attended by Imran Zafar Butt, Altaf Hussain Randhawa, Nasir Rofi, Arif Hussain, and other teachers.
