Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Secretary-General of Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI), expressed his thoughts at a special event held on December 25 to celebrate the Quaid-e-Azam's birthday. He stated that the Quaid-e-Azam symbolized discipline, and if we breathe in free air today, it is due to the disciplined and punctual life of the founder of Pakistan. He remarked that the current crises Pakistan faces are solely because we have abandoned discipline. Without discipline and punctuality, no human society can truly be called a society.

The MQI Secretary General added that while the British had an unjust occupation of the Indian subcontinent, they were disciplined and punctual, which was ingrained in their culture. In contrast, the last Muslim rulers of the subcontinent were known for wasting time. He said that history books reveal that the British officials’ lunch hours coincided with the breakfast hours of the Mughal rulers.

He said that consequently, the last ruler, Bahadur Shah Zafar, spent his final days as a prisoner in the garage of a British officer. His last wish was merely for the garage window to be opened for fresh air. Even for his funeral prayers, there weren’t enough people present.

“These incidents serve as a lesson for us. Nations that do not value time are not valued by time,” Gandapur stressed. He emphasized that the Quaid-e-Azam spoke better English than the British and was more punctual than them. It was through these qualities that he successfully demanded a separate homeland from the British. If we truly regard Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah as our leader, then we must adopt his disciplined and punctual life as a guiding principle.

The event concluded with prayers for the elevation of the Quaid-e-Azam’s rank and for the safety and security of the homeland. The event was attended by Brigadier (R) Iqbal Ahmed Khan, Engineer Rafiq Najm, G.M. Malik, Noorullah Siddiqui, Jawad Hamid, Sohail Ahmed Raza, Brigadier (R) Umar Hayat, Rana Waheed Shehzad, Ain-ul-Haq Baghdadi, Allama Ghulam Murtaza Alvi, Engineer Muhammad Sanaullah, department heads, and others.
