The Holy Prophet (PBUH) Introduced the Concept of Human Rights: Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri

Dr. Hassan Qadri Delivers Keynote Lecture at Seerat-un-Nabi ﷺ & World Peace Conference

Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, has said that Islam is a religion of peace, love, and mercy. He said that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) introduced the concept of human rights and safeguarded the rights of the weak and oppressed. Islam, he explained, promotes interfaith harmony, patience, and tolerance.

Dr Hassan expressed these views at the grand Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) Conference held in Portugal. The event witnessed a large gathering of the Pakistani community, Minhaj-ul-Quran leaders and workers, as well as individuals from various schools of thought.

Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri emphasized that Minhaj-ul-Quran is working to foster unity and solidarity both within Pakistan and internationally. He stated that Islam rejects sectarianism, and those spreading hatred are weakening the Ummah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He said that the noble character of the Prophet (PBUH) should be reflected in every individual's conduct. His teachings are not just for Muslims but serve as a source of guidance for all humanity.

He urged Muslims to represent Islam through their ethics and actions. Even before his prophethood, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was known as Sadiq (truthful) and Ameen (trustworthy), and it was his impeccable character that led many of his critics to embrace Islam. Faith is not just about words but about actions and conduct.

Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri advised families living in Europe and other countries to ensure that, alongside worldly education, their children also receive religious knowledge and moral upbringing, as these young individuals are the future assets of the Muslim Ummah.

The conference was attended by prominent figures, including Bilal Uppal, President of Minhaj-ul-Quran Europe; Faiz Alam; Kashif Nazir; Ghulam Dastgir; Shah Rukh Sohail; Qari Amjad Mahmood; Sufyan Yousaf; Babar Nawaz; Faisal Akram; Ghazanfar Nazir; Umar Mustafa; Abdul Basit; Abu Bakr Mustafa; Imran Munawar; Qasim Ali Sabir; and Hamza Amjad, along with Minhaj-ul-Quran Portugal officials, leaders, workers, and esteemed members of the local community. Women's representation was led by Samira Kashif, President of the Minhaj-ul-Quran Women's Wing.
