Islam protects interests of both the employers & employees: Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri

Addressing a luncheon meeting arranged by Public Relations Department of MQI and Awami Traders Alliance in honour of the traders and businessmen, Chairman MQI Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that Allah’s blessings become part of a business venture that is done with honesty and good intentions. He said the Islamic economic system abhors the concentration of wealth and the profit maximization. He said Islam looks after the interests of both the employees and the employers.

Secretary General MQI Khurram Nawaz Gandapur attended the luncheon on a special invitation. Director Public Relations Chaudhry Shahzad Rasool, Awami Traders Alliance chairman Haji Muhammad Ishaq, president Altaf Randhawa, Haji Manzoor Hussain, and Rashid Chaudhry welcomed the traders and businessmen on their arrival at the central secretariat.

Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said traders’ community is the backbone of the economy. He said fleecing customers, selling the product through lies, refusal to take back defective products and being harsh with the buyers are among the disliked acts in the Islamic teachings.

Chaudhry Shahzad Rasool said Islam urges its followers to financially help the poor, the destitute and downtrodden sections of society. He said MQI has been serving humanity without any discrimination of caste, creed and colour. He said hundreds of schools and colleges, a national level university, Islamic centres spread across the world, and welfare projects are the sign of people friendliness of MQI’s policies.

Shahzad Rasool said it is a special blessing of Allah that the largest Milad gathering takes place in Lahore every year. He said MQI celebrates Mawlid-un-Nabi as a culture. He said the arrangements continue to be made for the mega event this year as well. He said those who take part in these activities are the blessed people. He said that those who spend on such events are the luckiest people.

Haji Muhammad Ishaq, chairman of Awami Traders’ Alliance, said whether it is earthquake or flood or any other eventuality, MQI and its workers have always come forward to help and support those in acute need. He said donations, and Zakat are the means of reaching the needy people with financial and material help.

Altaf Randhawa and Rashid Chaudhry briefed the traders and business people about the welfare projects of MQI. Saqib Bhatti, Arshad Mughal, Junaid Warsi, Amir Ishaq, Sheikh Amir Rafi, Ali Butt, Mansoor Bilal, Nadeem Ahmad Baig, Ahmad Sadiq, Haji Akhtar, Waheed Chaudhry, Amir Yaqoob, Shuja-ud-Din and other business personalities attended the luncheon.

The leaders of the business community congratulated Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri and Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri on their books on the subject Islamic system of finance and business ethics. They said Islam furnishes guidance in every walk of life, stating that these books are very useful and provide practical help in understanding what kind of conduct Islam wants business people to demonstrate. They also congratulated Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri on completing his Ph.D. and writing a voluminous book on the topic of the state of Madina.
