Namaz is the best Dua to protect oneself from epidemics: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri

Addressing on the occasion of Shab-e-Barat through video link, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that patience is the best strategy and Namaz the best Dua in order to protect oneself from every epidemic. He said that we should please our Lord by establishing Namaz. He said it is the Night of seeking forgiveness of Almighty and making a vow to not disobey Him.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri stated in his speech that the entire world is facing the scourge of Covid-19 at the moment. He asked the powerful not to misuse their authority and the affluent to spend their wealth on the well-being of the disabled and the needy, stating that this was one of the ways to seek forgiveness of Allah. He said that an affliction does not stay for long but leaves a permanent impact in its wake. He said that some people use the epidemics to bring themselves to the right path and thus end up pleasing their Lord. This way they not only succeed in this life but also in the hereafter. He, however, added in the same breath that there are some wretched people who indulge in the usurpation of the rights of others, profiteering, and hoarding during epidemics, stating that this way they make hell their abode.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said it is high time we gave up living a life of sin and replaced it with good deeds, stating that we should make a vow to give the rights to the people which is their due. He made a special dua for progress, peace, solidarity and the unity of Pakistan and the Islamic world. He said that sufferings are the end result of one's actions stating that one can get satisfaction and peace of mind through good deeds.

Dr Qadri appealed to the people of Pakistan that the Corona epidemic continues to pose a significant threat to human life. He told them not to ignore the instructions and guidelines issued by the government of Pakistan. He said that people should demonstrate socially responsible behavior, observe social distancing and stay at home to break the virus spread. He said that it is by observing precautions and implementing the guidelines that we can protect our families, relatives, and friends from the lethal effects of this virus.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that hundreds of thousands of families of the daily wage earners are suffering from economic hardships due to lockdown. He said it is our collective and individual responsibility to help the families that are facing immense economic difficulties. He said that it is high time we spent our wealth on the welfare of the people, adding that there is no better occasion than this one to spend in the way of Allah. He congratulated all the individuals and organizations that are working for the welfare of the deserving in this difficult hour. He also loaded the Minhaj Welfare Foundation, Minhaj University Lahore, COSIS, and Aghosh Orphan Care Home for delivering ration and food among thousands of deserving families.
