Hajj is a source of achieving Allah’s nearness: Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri
Congratulating Muslims on the performance of the Hajj obligation, MQI founding-leader and patron-in-chief Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has termed holy pilgrimage as a source of achieving nearness to Allah, purifying one’s heart and purging the self of ill-commanding self. He said it is that pillar of faith whose performance makes a believer cultivate and strengthen the bond of love of Allah in his heart. He said it is due to the blessings of Hajj that Muslims from across the world are woven in a relationship of unity, equality and oneness.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said when hundreds of thousands of believers belonging to different backgrounds, regions and countries and speaking hundreds of languages prostrate themselves before their Lord in humility; it presents a spiritualizing sight which is the identity of Islam. “Hajj is a means through which Muslims get an inspiration to stay connected to their basis,” he stated.
Shaykh-ul-Islam said that every form of worship prescribed by Islam whether it is Hajj, or prayer or fasting or spending in the way of Allah is underlined by a sense of collectivity. He said that Islam does not just cater to the needs of an individual but its teachings are also marked by welfare of the whole community and its cleanliness.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri prayed to Allah Almighty to bless Muslims around the world with the wealth of peace, tranquility, harmony and unity in the precious moments of Hajj. “May every member of Muslim community enjoy the divine blessings, and mercy,” he said.
He also prayed for peace, economic prosperity and unity of Muslims around the world.
