MQI Lahore takes out torch-bearing procession to welcome Rabi-ul-Awwal

Under the auspices of Minhaj-ul-Quran Lahore, a grand torch-bearing procession was taken out from Aziz Bhatti Town in celebration of the arrival of Rabi-ul-Awwal. The procession, which started from Mughalpura Chowk and ended at Shalamar Chowk, was greeted along the way with welcoming camps set up at various points. Traders from Shalamar Link Road showered flower petals on the procession participants and chanted loudly, "Welcome, O Messenger of Allah!" and "O Prophet, O Master!"

Banners celebrating the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) were displayed on both sides of the road. The procession featured camels, decorated buggies, and ox carts with children, elderly people, and others dressed in traditional Arabic attire. They enhanced the atmosphere by singing "Talaa al-Badru Alayna" and reciting Durood (blessings on the Prophet) loudly.

Participants also carried electric torches and placards bearing the name of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Traders on Shalamar Link Road also set up stalls offering water, milk, and sherbet at various points along the route.

The procession was led by MQI Secretary-General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Deputy Secretary-General Allama Rana Muhammad Idrees, President of Minhaj-ul-Quran Lahore Professor Zulfiqar Ali, Central Information Secretary Noorullah Siddiqui, Mufti Ghulam Asghar Siddiqui, Lahore's Minhaj-ul-Quran Secretary Amjad Hussain Chaudhry, Aziz Bhatti Town President Shahbaz Hussain Qadri, Town Secretary Aslam Pervez Qadri, and other leaders.

Among the participants were President of the Shalamar Link Road Traders Association Muhammad Azhar Chaudhry, General Secretary Muhammad Younis, Arshad Ali Warraich, Chaudhry Abdul Jaleel, Sheikh Asif Rafiq, Malik Ashraf, Mian Ijaz Chan, Muhammad Saleem Bhola, Chaudhry Muhammad Shehzad, Sheikh Hamid, Chaudhry Muhammad Aslam, Pir Syed Inamullah Gilani, Pir Syed Gulzar Shah Qadri, along with the trader community and representatives from Aziz Bhatti Town and Shalamar Link Road.

Addressing the procession, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur stated that the blessed month of Rabi-ul-Awwal brings feelings of joy and happiness for the Muslim world. The greatest message of the Prophet's (PBUH) birth is love, peace, and safety. He said MQI members are organizing Milad gatherings around the world, spreading messages of peace, love, tolerance, and respect for humanity.

Allama Rana Muhammad Idrees highlighted that Rabi-ul-Awwal is a month of joy, mercy, and blessings. The happiness of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is greater than any other joy in the world.

Renowned Naat reciters, including Muhammad Zaheer Abbas Bilali, paid tribute to the Holy Prophet (PBUH) during the procession. Leaders of Minhaj-ul-Quran's Ulema Council delivered speeches at various points along the route, announcing that preparations for the 41st International Milad Conference at Minar-e-Pakistan have begun, and millions of devotees of the Prophet (PBUH) from Lahore will participate.
