He stated that charity not only has spiritual rewards but also significant positive effects on human health. Scientifically, community service has been proven to alleviate depression, eliminate unnecessary anxieties and fears, and generate feelings of happiness. It is important to mention that Minhaj Welfare Foundation has been organizing mass wedding ceremonies for 21 years, bringing happiness to the underprivileged and middle-class families. It is actively engaged in humanitarian services, including financial assistance and welfare support.
Speaking at the event, Secretary-General MQI, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, stated that Minhaj Welfare Foundation has facilitated the marriages of over 3,000 couples so far. Event host and Director Syed Amjad Ali Shah remarked that Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri envisions helping the needy in a way that empowers them to stand on their own feet and, eventually, assist others. He highlighted that under Minhaj Welfare Foundation, the state-of-the-art "Aghosh Orphan Care Home" is providing education and training to orphaned children, many of whom have gone on to pursue higher education and serve the nation.
Special guest Dr. Abid Aziz, who had traveled from the Netherlands, expressed his joy at participating in the event. He stated that those who love humanity and receive and give prayers are truly fortunate. He praised Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri and Minhaj-ul-Quran as a divine blessing in this era, committed to helping those in need. She emphasized that marriage is the most cherished bond in the world, and those who help unite couples in matrimony earn divine blessings. Supporting financially struggling individuals in marriage and sharing in their happiness is a great virtue. She congratulated Minhaj Welfare Foundation and Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri for establishing a remarkable institution dedicated to humanitarian service. She urged parents and benefactors to ensure that every couple learns a skill before marriage.
Chief Patron of PIAF, Mian Anjum Nisar, congratulated the 23 couples embarking on a new journey in life and commended Minhaj-ul-Quran for establishing humanitarian service institutions nationwide. He extended his prayers for the continued success of Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri’s mission.
