Minhaj Welfare Foundation launches Eid Family Festival
The Eid Family Festival organized by Minhaj Welfare Foundation Lahore has commenced. The festival was inaugurated yesterday by Prof. Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International.
Hundreds of families have been provided with shopping coupons worth PKR 20,000 per family to purchase Eid essentials. Various stalls have been set up, offering clothing, cosmetics, jewelry, and shoes.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri congratulated the festival organizers and donors, praising their efforts in bringing joy to underprivileged families amid rising inflation. He emphasized that helping the needy is beloved to Allah and His Messenger (PBUH).
The Eid Family Festival will continue until March 17, allowing deserving families to shop for Eid free of cost. Festival founder Muhammad Qasim Sarwar shared that hundreds of needy families would benefit from this initiative. Engineer Muhammad Sanaullah also briefed attendees about the various welfare projects of Minhaj Welfare Foundation.
On the first day of the festival, a large number of women and children enthusiastically participated in shopping, expressing their gratitude to Minhaj Welfare Foundation. Many families prayed for Sheikh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri’s health and long life, acknowledging that his vision and initiatives have enabled them to shop for their children with dignity despite financial hardships.
Minhaj Welfare Foundation Lahore Coordinator Captain (R) Abdul Majeed thanked Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri and other leaders for attending and supporting the event. Senior figures, including Ishtiaq Hanif Mughal, Prof. Dr. Zulfiqar Qadri, Muazzam Mustafavi, Amjad Hussain Qadri, and Mumtaz Hussain Kachhi, welcomed the deserving families and assisted them in their Eid shopping.
