Itikaf City 2025: All set for the start of the spiritual retreat

Special Security Arrangements in Place, Hundreds of Volunteers to Assist: Jawad Hamid
The City of Itikaf, organized under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, has been fully prepared for the worshippers who will be observing Itikaf during the last ten days of Ramadan. The registration process is complete, and this year, thousands of women will also be participating. Foolproof security arrangements have been made, and hundreds of volunteers will be providing their services. Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri will lead the Itikaf participants in making their intention (niyyah). Preparations and decorations for the City of Itikaf have been finalized, and thousands of people will take residence in Jamia Al-Minhaj, Township for the last ten days of Ramadan.
Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri will deliver daily lectures after Taraweeh prayers on the topic of "Divine Love and the Pleasure of Tawheed."
Speaking about the arrangements, Secretary Itikaf, Jawad Hamid, stated that every effort is being made to provide the best facilities for the participants. He mentioned that LED screens have been installed in the main gathering area for Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri’s lectures. To ensure hygienic meals for Sehri and Iftar, expert chefs have been hired.
Under the supervision of Minhaj Welfare Foundation, a team of doctors will be available 24/7 to provide medical assistance to the participants. CCTV cameras have been installed at various locations to ensure security. Walk-through gates have also been placed at the entrances of both the men’s and women’s sections of the Itikaf area.
Men will observe Itikaf at Jamia Al-Minhaj, Township, while women will perform Itikaf at Minhaj Girls College. Additionally, Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Chairman of the Supreme Council, and Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, will also deliver training lectures during the event.
Jawad Hamid emphasized that Itikaf is a blessed Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and carries immense rewards. He added that Itikaf serves as an effective means for self-improvement and inner purification.
