Company of the pious a must for internal transformation: Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri
During his address at Jamia Masjid Murshidabad Sharif in Peshawar, Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, emphasized that Sharia applies to outward actions, which are comparatively easier to fulfill. For a person of steadfastness, performing prayers, fasting, Hajj, and giving Zakat is manageable. However, changing one’s inner nature is a far more challenging endeavor. For instance, turning a person with a harsh disposition into one with gentleness is difficult, as is transforming a miser into a generous person, a wrongdoer into a virtuous individual, or a harsh speaker into someone polite.
Chairman Supreme Council said that while adherence to Sharia fulfills one’s obligations, maintaining continuous contact with righteous company is essential if one wishes to bring about a more profound transformation in one's character. The company of saints can transform even the most hardened individuals, such as thieves, into paragons of virtue.
Dr. Qadri highlighted that the company of the righteous is crucial for personal growth, as it enhances the beauty of society and increases the goodwill one brings to others through their actions.
The gathering was attended by Hazrat Khwaja Pir Badr Alam Jan, the custodian of Darbar Aliya Murshidabad Sharif Peshawar, Pir Fakhr-e-Alam Jan, Sahibzada Misbah Alam Jan, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur (Secretary-General), Chaudhry Irfan Yousaf (Deputy Secretary-General), Subhan Allah Khan, Amjad Ali Shah, Professor Dr. Abdul Shakoor, Saddam Hussain Siddiqui, Dr. Imran Younas, and devotees of Darbar Aliya, along with leaders and members from various Minhaj-ul-Quran forums.
At the end, Dr. Qadri led a special prayer for the nation's security, progress, and prosperity
