Only education can bring about comprehensive change: S.M. Zafar
S.M. Zafar, chairman of Minhaj Education Society, has said that the result of annual examination 2011 conducted by Minhaj Education Board would be declared tomorrow (Monday). He said that good education system plays central role in the rise and development of nations. The present set of problems facing Pakistan owes themselves to anti-education policies of the successive governments. The services rendered by Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri in the field of education, he added, enjoy prominent place in the history of Pakistan. He did the practical work for the solution of the major problem of Pakistan. History would continue to pay tribute to Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri for this role. Minhaj Education Society, he maintained, has demonstrated responsibility for the promotion of quality education. The glaring proof of this is the presence of hundreds of educational institutions across the country, which are preparing the young generations to take up the daunting challenges.
These views were expressed by S.M. Zafar in a special meeting of Minhaj Education Society held in the central secretariat. Shahid Latif, Director Minhaj Education Society, Saifullah Bhatti, Controller of Examination, Mushtaq Ahmad, Iqbal Doger, Ali Waqar and others were present on the occasion.
S.M. Zafar said that the promotion of quality education can bring about positive change in society. He stated that Minhaj Education Society holds this distinction that it has used state of the art technology for the promotion of education. The conduct of examination in 572 schools at the same time is the great success of Minhaj Education Board. He said that awareness of rights is key to changing destiny of the nations and it is possible through spread of the quality education coupled with a sound training system. “The combination of good education and training enables educational institutions to play their due role in the development of societies. The educational policy needs to be reviewed afresh in line with the demands of time and it warrants substantial increase in the educational budget,” he concluded.
