Tahirul Qadri long march: Stop wasting time in London, Altaf to Rehman Malik
by Ubaid Mughal
London: It seemed that Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) is parting its way from the current coalition of the government as the party chief Altaf Hussain has refused all requests from Interior minister Rehman Malik to reconsider its participation in the long march called by Pakistan Awami Tehrik leader Tahirul Qadri.
According to sources, the meeting between Altaf Hussain and Rehman Malik in MQM London Secretariat lasted for minutes and the atmosphere remained tense between the two, who earlier share good relationship.
The MQM leader asked Rehman Malik to not waste his time in London and visit Qadri at his residence in Model Town, Lahore for any decision on the postponement of the long march.
Altaf further asked the interior minister to refrain from stopping the marchers, moving towards Islamabad from Lahore.
