Qadri says to move Supreme Court for seeking ECP reconstitution
LAHORE: Dr Tahirul Qadri, patron of the Tehreek-e-Minhajul Quran, has said on Thursday that he will approach the Supreme Court of Pakistan for the reconstitution of the Election Commission of Pakistan, SAMAA reports.
Talking to media persons here, Qadri said that he file a petition in the Supreme Court seeking reconstitution of the ECP.
“I myself will give arguments before the court,” he added.
Qadri asserted that members of the ECP were appointed through unconstitutional procedure, adding that members of the ECP do not have any constitutional importance. – SAMAA
