The News: Govt team to meet Qadri today

ISLAMABAD: A delegation of the government would meet Dr Tahirul Qadri here on Saturday to discuss implementation of various clauses of the agreement signed by them.

The significant clauses of the agreement included formation of caretaker setup, restructuring of election commission, implementation of article 63 and 63 of the constitution, scrutiny of electoral candidates in one month.

The agreement also carried a time frame for its implementation but Dr Qadri’s petition in the Supreme Court regarding reformation of Election Commission delayed the dialogue process.

However, the government’s team would visit Minhajul Quran Secretariat to resume talks today. The members of the team included Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, Farooq H Naek, Qamar Zaman Kaira and Dr Farooq Sattar.
