Imran Khan should join Dr Tahir ul Qadri for change :Ch Pervaiz Elahi

Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi has said that for changing the system entire opposition including Imran Khan and Dr Tahir ul Qadri should essentially be on one page, in this regard his party was playing a positive role and was in contact with them, attempts by product of rigging and unconstitutional and immoral govt to create chaos in opposition would not succeed, entire nation was firmly and fully with Pak army and way praying for its success.

He said this while talking to media after high level meeting held under the chairmanship of Ch Shujat Hussain here.

Ch Parvez Elahi said that Model Town tragedy was ample proof of defective present system and failure of the govt. , what sort of system this was that after massacre on the orders of the Chief Minister not one responsible official was nabbed instead killers become the deceased, this was the reason why we want to change the system. He said that continuation of present illegal govt was not in the interest of the nation and the country, we were making efforts for improving the system for betterment of the people, national security, national interest and justice, instead of nabbing the killers of Model Town tragedy raids of the injured persons were being raided to pressurize them for securing statements in their favour, even FIR was not being registered, despite this being proved that the Chief Minister knew everything and his order was being implemented, the Chief Minister was telling lie and his big representative Rana Sanaullah makes sign of victory quite shamefully in the High Court.

He said where the rulers were like this then one has to talk about revolution and changing the system, price hike of essential and other articles, thefts, dacoities, heinous crime had increased manifold, bodies in bags were being found instead of medicines, justice and protection of life and property. He said our agenda was betterment and the poor and common man which we had implemented in Punjab and accomplished 15 such works which were done for the first time ever in the history of the country, they could not pinpoint even one such work after being in power for 15 years.

Ch Parvez Elahi said further that Pakistan Muslim League (PML) would continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces of the country and has organized and taken out rallies in 32 districts of Punjab and other provinces to express solidarity with the armed forces, we do not want to do any such thing which may hamper in any way army operation and IDPs.

Responding to a question about govt allegation of derailment of democracy, he said what sort of democracy this was in which inheritors of 15 shuhda were not getting justice and the people were yearning for electricity, gas and employment. He said we have alliance with Dr Tahirul Qadri, for betterment of the masses and getting the people riddance of this rigged govt we would go and knock at every door.
