Al-hamdulillah by the grace of Almighty Allah (swt), the mercy of the Holy Prophet Sallallahu alayhi wa salim and by the Faiz and Barakah of Huzoor Shaykh-ul-Islam his eminence Prof Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri the MWL (Muslim Women League) Sheffield, was able to organise and arrange a Mawlid Un Nabi Conference.
The conference began with the divine and awe inspiring words of Almighty Allah with the recitation of the Holy Qur'an by Sr Khola followed by naat-e-Rasool of Sisters Rubab, Nafeesa.
The gathering began to generate immense responses and the participants were very enthusiastic. Throughout the conference praises of the Holy Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa salim were recited instilling the love of Rasoolallah sallallahu alayhi wa salim into the hearts of the listeners.
The mehfil continued with beautiful naats read by Sisters: Saba and Salina which enlightened the hearts of the other sisters. Beautiful recitations out of love for our Beloved Rasool sallallahu alayhi wa salim were recited throughout.
Our guest from London, Sr Khadijah Atkinson delivered a speech in English on how to avoid the worldly affairs; the main part of her speech was about how to change our- selves to become more practising within Islam. She spoke about some of the negative effects of watching TV soaps and listening to songs has upon our hearts and Iman.
She spoke about the many tests we all have in Islam. She offered a test to the participants for one week of not watching TV of the worldly affairs and to stop listening to music she said try our best to live according to Islam for one week, listen, watch Islamic programs read our daily salah and read Islamic books. She then said to assess at the end of one week how we felt.
Another naat was read then followed by Sr Faiza’s speech in Urdu on the baraqat of darood sharif. She told the listeners that darood sharif is ibadat and that Almighty Allah reads darood sharif as well. She stated a Hadith of the Holy Prophet SAW : the Kalaam of he Holy Prophet SAW is the Kalaam Of Allah Almighty and she went through the significance of darood shaeef. She also talked about Milad shareef using a book written by: Shaykh ul- Islam.
The conference ended with salaam (peace and salutations) on the Holy Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa salim and a beautiful and sincere Dua by sister Faiza. May Almighty by the waseela of our Beloved Rasool sallallahu alayhi wa salim accept all our efforts and enable the MWL to organise further greater conferences for the pleasure of Almighty Allah and Rasoolallah sallallahu alayhi wa salim. Ameen.
There was also a stall set up consisting of Books/lectures of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri, the stall proved to a great success. To conclude programme, food was distributed.
