Addressing the Conference, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said that it is due to blessing of love of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that people wage struggle without caring a bit about intense weather conditions. He said that no other party can compete with the MQI workers in resilience and steadfastness, which is based on the love of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He said that love is an emotion, which is created and fostered in heart and reflects itself in the form of actions. He said that when one develops love for this world, one starts preferring it to the world hereafter. He said that the love of this world is a mirage which can never become a reality. He said that love of terrorism is love of flawed ideology and falsehood, adding that it is due to love of falsehood that terrorists give and take lives, which is utterly ‘Kufr’. He said that Allah Almighty described the love and obedience of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) as a touchstone for practical evidence of His Love. He further said that love for the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), his family, Companions and the saints is in fact love of Allah Almighty. He said that poverty and destitution are among the signs of love, adding that such riches, which rob one of honour is not acceptable.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the holy Companions would ever stay ready, every moment and every honour to sacrifice anything and everything for the respect and dignity of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He said that love makes one get over the fear of death and it is for this reason that the Companions would lay down their lives for the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) without caring a bit for their lives. He said that the emperors and kings of the then super powers saw the manifestations of love of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), adding that this love is the means of deliverance in the grave. He stated that the Holy Prophet said that ‘Iman’ will be concentrated in the city of Madina near the Day of Judgement. In other words, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) termed his burial place as a shelter for ‘Iman’. He said that guarantee for life on Islam and death on ‘Iman’ lies in love of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that after conquests of Yemen and Syria, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the Companions to leave Madina because protection of faith lies in Madina. He said that a believer gets the returns for his acts in Makkah but protection of faith and guarantee of death on Islam lies in Madina. He said that fire of hell cannot touch a person in whose heart the love of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is deeply rooted.
Shaykh-ul-Islam asked the world to seek guidance from the teachings of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for establishment of peace. He said that Islamic society cannot be established without justice, fair play, tolerance and respect for human rights. Corruption, economic exploitation, violence, injustice and extremism are the signs of un-Islamic society. He said that the holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came as a prophet of mercy and kindness for the whole of humanity and he always showed his special affection for the poor and downtrodden sections of society. He said that a true follower of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) cannot perpetrate oppression on the weak and less privileged people. He proposed that darkness should be replaced with light through Zarb-e-Amn (peace initiative), adding that there is no space for conservatives, extremists, enemies of knowledge and peace, terrorists and suicide bombers in Islamic faith.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri asked the youth and students with special reference to the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the prophet of peace and love that they should make the study of life of the revered Prophet an essential part of their study for purgation of their inner self and purity of heart. He further asked them to make acquisition of knowledge purposeful and they should do so by considering it the Sunna of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He asked the educated youth to save themselves and their friends from the misleading and poisonous influences and ideologies of terrorists, extremists and Khawarij of present times. He said that MQI has made its utmost effort to fulfill its religious, moral, national and international obligations by designing Islamic Curriculum on Peace and Counter-Terrorism. He urged the youth to become ambassadors of peace and play their role to spread love and peace in every corner of the world.
At the end of his address, Dr Qadri announced that Zarb-e-Amn (peace initiative) being launched by MQI at the popular level is an attempt to promote love as an expression of love of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
A special Dua was made for Pakistan’s progress, prosperity, peace and success of Operation Zarb-e-Azb at the conclusion of International Mawlid-un-Nabi Conference. Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that those taking part in Operation Zarb-e-Azb are Islam’s and Pakistan’s true soldiers, adding that we pray for their security and success.
