Pindi rally to prove referendum against rulers: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri

LAHORE: Tomorrow’s (Saturday) rallies and sit-in in Rawalpindi will prove to be a referendum against the corrupt rulers and will bring justice to the families of the martyrs of the Model Town incident.

This was stated by Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri, chairman of Pakistan Awami Tehreek, here on Friday while speaking in the Central Core Committee meeting and later talking to Awami Muslim League leader Sheikh Rashid on phone. He said lawyers will also be participating in the Rawalpindi rally and will be protesting against the Quetta killings. He said the way all the forces which are plundering wealth from the country, similarly all the forces that are protecting the national interests and are for national solidarity have joined forces and those remaining must also come into our fold and wage a struggle against the corrupt rule of the present rulers.

The PAT Chairman discussed the Qisas Movement rally with Sh. Rashid and condemned the Mardan terrorist act. Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri said there will be massive participation of all opposition political and religious parties in the Rawalpindi rally which will prove the final nail in the coffin of the corrupt and plunderers. He said we have invited and gathered all the parties of the country against the present rulers which by the Grace of Almighty Allah bring down the present corrupt government. He said the corrupt rule will be bought down and rule of justice will be ensured.

The PAT Chairman said that the hands of Nawaz and Shahbaz are drenched with the blood of innocent martyrs of Model Town and many other innocent people who have been killed on their instigation. He said we will not rest until these criminals are brought to justice and all the money they have plundered and sent abroad will be brought back to the country. He said the faces of the martyrs on Model Town are always before his eyes and so are the faces of these corrupt and criminals who took them away from us and their families.

Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri said that we are fighting the war from the poor people of the country and for all those who have been killed in the Quetta, Wahga, Iqbal Town and Karachi incidents. He said PAT workers will participate in the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf rally in Lahore. He instructed PAT workers to go in large flocks to the PTI rally.

Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri condoled with the family of senior journalist Zahid Malik. He condemned the suicide attack in Mardan.
