We are with Imran Khan in his anti-corruption movement: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri
PTI Chairman Imran Khan telephoned Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri last night and invited him to attend the sit-in scheduled for November 2 in Islamabad. Accepting the invitation, Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that we stand by Imran Khan and PTI in the movement for elimination of corruption. He said that Imran Khan offered his apologies on the controversial statements to which he said that there was no need to be sorry, adding that it was time to talk about the future.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that PTI stands fully with the PAT on the question of Qisas of Model Town tragedy like before. He said that we would support any person in the movement aimed at elimination of corruption who comes out to change the oppressive system. He reiterated his resolve to continue fighting for the Qisas of Model Town martyrs till the last breath of his life. He said that in addition to the Qisas, corruption, terrorism and non-implementation of Articles 1-40 are national issues which are part of our agenda.
Dr Qadri said that the delegations of both PAT and PTI would meet soon and settle on details of the joint protest movement. He said that he has passed necessary instructions to the party Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur in this regard. He said that the rulers have killed 14 of our workers, adding that the blood of innocent people is a debt on us. He said that he would continue the struggle for justice till his death and would never surrender.
Meanwhile PAT Secretary Information Noorullah Siddiqui stated that PAT Chairman Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri is in Jordan these days in connection with attending the International Sirah Conference. He would come to London after October 27 from where he would go to Morocco. He has certain other commitments after his tour to Morocco. He, however, added that the leaders of both PAT and PTI would meet in next 24 hours.
