Democracy getting exposed on roads: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri
PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that the incidents of last two days form a black chapter in the national history. He said that the killers of innocent people in Model Town are bent upon recreating more such incidents just to protect their illegal wealth, predicting that the media will be the target of next crackdown. He asked as to what crime Imran Khan and Sheikh Rashid have committed as to be deprived of their fundamental right of movement. He said that democracy was dragged and the daughters were slapped on the roads of Rawalpindi. He further said that had those who killed Shaheed Shazia and Tanzeela been punished, none would have got the courage to slap any daughter. He said that if democracy is the name of hooliganism, plunder of resources, and humiliation of citizens and depriving them of their right to justice and freedom of expression, then such a democracy only deserves to be cursed.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri expressed these views while addressing the office bearers of the UK chapter of PAT in London. He said that the Sharif brothers can stoop to any level to protect their illegally acquired assets and rule, adding that Model Town is its biggest example. He said that the ruling brothers want that there should be no one to challenge them whether they loot national resources, kill innocent people, bring Pakistan national security institution into disrepute, attack court, buy conscience of the people and lavishly spend state resources on luxurious projects.
Dr Qadri said that he has keen eye on the development taking place on the political front. He said that both PAT and PTI are in contact. He said that he would announce his decision of the second round of Qisas movement at an appropriate time. He said that police officials and the heads of the institutions that are blindly following the illegal dictates of the government will be held accountable for their violation of law. He said that the government has become a mafia, political freedoms have been confiscated and no institution can dare ask the rulers as to why they sprayed bullets on 100 innocent people. He said that the masses will have to render sacrifices for restoration of their rights.
