Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri urges experts to play their role for national development
The 26th meeting of Minhajians Parliament consisting of over 500 professionals and experts who are graduates of the Minhaj University and rendering services in different walks of life was held with Abul Hassan Al-Azhari in the chair. The chief highlight of the meeting was the keynote address by MQI President Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri from Australia.
In his speech, Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri asked the experts and professionals working in the government and non-governmental sectors not to confine their activities to their jobs but to come forward and recommend policy guidelines in the light of their knowledge and experience to get Pakistan out of the current set of challenges. He particularly mentioned the need for educating and training the youth and making them exposed to modern scientific trends in knowledge creation. He said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri has played his tremendous role for provision of education and spiritual and moral training to the students.
Over 500 people attended the session of the Minhajians Parliament. Those who were in session included PhDs, heads of departments, doctors, engineers, agricultural scientists, professors, religious scholars.
The Minhajians Parliament paid homage to Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri for formulating curriculum for promotion of peace and said that maximum investment in education is dire need of the hour. They said that for concrete outcome, 5% and 8% of GDP should be spent on education in a span of five and ten years respectively.
The members of the Minhajians Parliament said that the administrative infrastructure of the country has become obsolete and is not capable of addressing the demands of the 21st century. They said that the root cause of rampancy of corruption and bad governance is this outdated system.
The meeting constituted different committees consisting of experts with relevant education and experience with a mandate to recommend policy proposals for reforms in different walks of life. It was also agreed to hold regular meetings of the committees to make exercise meaningful and productive.
The Minhajians Parliament described the Irfan-ul-Quran course and Al-Hidayah course started by MWL as significant initiatives for promotion of the Quranic teachings and provision of training and education and recommended its expansion to the rest of the country. The coordinators for all the four provinces were also approved that include Javed Hazarvi, Saddam Hussain, Iftikhar Ahmad, Allama Rana Nafees, and Aftab Ahmad from KPK, Balochistan, Sindh, Karachi and AJ&K respectively.
PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur addressed the concluding session of the Parliament and said that we are quite pleased to see that the graduates of the Minhaj University are rendering their services for national development in various walks of life.
Abul Hassan Al-Azhari said in his remarks that the establishment of the MQI as an organization is such an amazing feat of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri as has proven its utility in projecting the soft and moderate image of Pakistan and Islam in the world. He said that every citizen of Pakistan can take ownership of MQI with pride thanks to dedicated services of the organization in different areas. He said that we can present MQI as an example due to its conduct and universality of its aims and objectives. He said that no one can raise a finger at the MQI in any manner. He said that we pay our rich tributes to the founding-leader of the MQI Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri for setting up such a wonderful organization.
