Ineptness & lust for power ruin social values: Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri

PAT Chairman Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said, while addressing the thousands of participants of the Itikaf City that the Muslim Ummah needed unity and Pakistan demanded the elimination of injustices. The ineptness and the lust for power and money had ruined our social values. The youth needed to equip themselves with the contemporary education as well as the best morality. He observed that the patriotic youth was the future of Pakistan.

Thousands of the people from across Pakistan and abroad are the participants of the Itikaf City. Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri addressed on the topic of Akhlaq-e-Hasana (excellence of morality). Chairman MQI Supreme Council, Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri; Fiaz-ur-Rahman Khan Durrani; Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Ahmad Nawaz Anjum and other leaders were also present on the stage.

Dr. Qadri noted that even before the announcement of prophethood, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was well-known for his trustworthiness, veracity, and truthfulness. Even the infidels used to keep their wealth and assets with him without any hesitation as the trust with the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Both the rich and the poor of Makkah believed unflinchingly that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was honest person. He observed that the foremost and fundamental quality of being the leader of any nation was one’s truthfulness and trustworthiness and the leader who was neither ‘Sadiq nor amen’ did not deserve the leadership of nation.

The PAT Chairman added that we needed to follow and apply the best morality standard set by the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in our individual and personal lives and if the leadership did not meet the these criteria, the accountability must be ensured for such type of leadership. The falsehood on the part of current leadership had ruined the society, he concluded.

The exemplary arrangements have been made to provide the fool-proof security and food to the thousands of Mutakifeen. Different circles have been established for the education and moral and spiritual training of the participants where the day-long activities of sermons, and lectures on different topics continue. This year the special lectures and programs have been designed to teach the holy Quran in according with its grammar and syntax to the thousands of the participants of Itikaf City.
