Institutional reforms no more relevant to arrest decay: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri
PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that compromise on issues related to national security has no more been a matter to cause any wonder. He said that the government has an ambiguity-free and clear-headed view regarding the safe return of Kalbushan right from day one, adding that he can see Kalbushan, the killer of innocent people, returning home safe and sound. He said that institutional reforms are no more relevant to arrest the malaise, stating that what we need is reconstruction of political and administrative structure.
These views were expressed by Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri in his chat with the office holders of the party here yesterday. He said that we are so used to compromises now that if this government takes a stand on any matter, it will definitely startle but added in the same breath that the political elite is not expected to exhibit such an attitude. He said that the way the country is being run, neither did one witness such a manner of governance in the past nor is there any space for it in any real democratic polity. He said that the present system has given birth to corruption, plunder and terrorism with the result that it has become next to impossible to hold anyone accountable.
The PAT Chairman said that whether it is elimination of terrorism or implementation of the NAP, provision of basic necessities of life or eradication of corruption, the present government has played criminal role on all these counts. He said that national resources are being spent on protection of crime.
Meanwhile, addressing the thousands of residents of Itikaf City, Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri asked the youth to change themselves in the light of Sunna of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and enlighten their hearts with the love of Allah Almighty. He said that love of religion is the real asset.
He said that the personality of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was a personification of beauty. He (peace and blessings be upon him) is the best and most beautiful in terms of excellence of morality and creation. He said that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would consult the Companions on different matters and listen to their proposals attentively. He said that whenever anyone would make an undesirable comment in a gathering, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would either turn his face away or leave the gathering. He would, however, never insult anyone.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would invite Companions to his home for consultation, he would show respect to the guests by offering them food. He further said that the heads of non-Muslim tribes would come to see the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he would extend to them respect and ask after their health. He said that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) kept balance and moderation in different matters. He was a complete personification of moderation and discipline, Dr Qadri concluded.
