Tajdar e Khatm-e-Nubuwwat ﷺ Conference
Addressing Tajdar-e-Khatm-e-Nubuwwat ﷺ Conference, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, founding leader and patron-in-chief of MQI, has said that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was sent as the prophet of mercy for the whole mankind. He protected the rights of the oppressed, the orphans, the weak and the poor. He did not exact revenge on anyone for his person but did not forgive any oppressor in support of the oppressed.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the rights of the oppressed enjoy the same kind of sanctity as those of the faith. Extending help to the oppressed and the weak against the oppressor is the sunnah of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The finality of the prophethood of beloved Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is established by the text of the Holy Quran. The Hadith have also expressly and sufficiently explained the belief in the finality of the prophethood. He said that the belief in the finality of the prophethood is the foundation of the faith and hence the fundamental duty of every believer to safeguard it. Only the deviant can tinker with the doctrine of the finality of the prophethood. No one can change or amend the decisions till the Day of Judgment made by Allah Almighty.
Zwelivelile Mandlesizwe Dalibhunga Mandela, the grandson of the legendary anti-apartheid South African leader Nelson Mandela who came all the way from South Africa to be part of the Conference, attended the event as the chief guest. He was also accompanied by chairman of South African Memon community Ahmed Vally Mahomed, Zaid Nordien, Ismail AbdulHasan Khatib and Tahir Rafique Naqshbandi. The hundreds of thousands of the people from different parts of Pakistan participated in the Conference. Naat Khawan and Qaris warmed the hearts of the people with the recitation of the Holy Quran and Naat in their melodious voices.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was so much peace-loving that he entered into such agreements that were apparently against the interests of the Muslims. The conquest of Makkah was the result of his peacefulness and excellence of character. He said that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would always keep his word and even fulfil those of the promises he made with the non-Muslims. He said whenever the weak were subjected to tyranny and covenants were broken, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would stand by the weak and the oppressed.
Dr Qadri said that solution to all of our ills lies in following the life-pattern of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He congratulated Zwelivelile Mandlesizwe Dalibhunga Mandela and other distinguished guests on their attendance of the Conference.
Expressing his views on the occasion, the chief guest, Zwelivelile Mandlesizwe Dalibhunga Mandela said that it was a matter of great prestige and honour for him to come to Pakistan and attend the Milad Conference on the invitation of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. He said that he is happy to be at the site where foundation-stone of Pakistan was laid. He said that Islam is a religion of peace and the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is the greatest revolutionary leader. He said that he was proud that his grandfather, Nelson Mandela, waged an exemplary struggle for the rights of the oppressed and was instrumental in their freedom from apartheid. He said that it was a matter of great pleasure that Minhaj-ul-Quran International under the leadership of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri is playing its due role in spreading the message of peace, love, tolerance and projecting the real teachings of Islam in the world. He lauded the people of Pakistan for their heroic sacrifices against terrorism, and stated that they are very loving people and their contributions deserve to be appreciated.
