MQI a movement of Islamic revivalism: Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri
Addressing the five-day training session on its fourth day held under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League, Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Chairman of the Supreme Council, has said that the MQI is a global movement working for revival of Islam and the promotion of peace, dialogue and interfaith harmony in the world. He said that this movement is playing its role in fostering religious, social, and familial values and matters in line with the Islamic teachings. He said that thanks to its worldwide organizational set-up, it is spreading welfare, scholarly and peaceful Islamic message throughout the world including the Islamic countries, adding that the fruits of its efforts are appearing in the massive attention that the youth are taking in the Islamic teachings throughout the world.
Dr Ghazala Hassan Qadri, Brig. (r) Muhammad Iqbal, MWL President Ms. Farah Naz, Shahida Mughal, Ms. Afnan Babar, Ms. Razia Naveed, Ms. Ayesha Mubashar and other leaders were also present on the occasion. The women office holders from across the four provinces including GB and Azad Kashmir participated in the training session.
Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that the women are integral part of a society and their role in the construction of a pious society is of paramount importance. He said that Islamic teaching of ‘commanding piety and stopping others from misdeeds’ applies both to men and women alike. He said that the Muslim women are being made to deviate from the great spiritual, moral and revolutionary values of Islam through propaganda and the misleading organizations.
The Chairman Supreme Council said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri has protected the Muslim world in general and the youth and women in particular from the poisonous and misleading propaganda that is aimed at attacking their beliefs and core set of values. He said that Dr Qadri has authored over 1000 books and delivered thousands of lectures on a wide variety of subjects that have benefitted the humanity in general and the Muslims men and women in particular. He said that the founding leader of MQI has particularly focused on education and moral training of the women for construction of a peaceful Islamic society. He said that the institutions set up to impart training and education to women have been spreading his message in every nook and corner of the country.
