Over 6000 animals slaughtered across country under MWF on Eid

More than 1500 animals were slaughtered and their meat was distributed among the poor and deserving the days of Eid in Lahore under the banner of Minhaj Welfare Foundation.

Speaking to the media, MQI Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said that we are bow our heads in gratitude to Allah Almighty Who enabled us to spread happiness among the less privileged sections of society. He said that like the practice of the previous years, MWF made perfect arrangements for sacrifice of the animals, disposal of waste and distribution of meat among the needy and deserving.

Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said that more than 6000 animals were slaughtered in the way of Allah across 100 cities in the country. He said that Syed Amjad Ali Shah, and Jawad Hamid and their teams deserve to be felicitated for making excellent arrangements for Eid-ul-Adha. He announced to give away certificates to those of the workers who spent their Eid holidays in the service of the humanity. He said that MWF is such an amazing institution set up by Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri for the service of the people that it continues to remain in the forefront to aid those in acute need, both day in and day out.

Speaking on the occasion, Director MWF Syed Amjad Ali Shah said that no greater peace and contentment lies in an act other than service to the suffering humanity. He said that we are grateful to Allah Almighty Who enabled us to bring smiles on the faces of the poor and needy. He said that we were able to distribute meat among the people living in the poor make-shift neighborhoods.

Jawad Hamid said on the occasion that feeding the hungry and helping the poor are among the preferred deeds of the Holy Prophet (SAW). He said that it was instruction of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri that the meat of the slaughtered animals should reach the deserving as early as possible, stating that the MQI workers made sure that the direction of their leader is fulfilled. He said that the workers showed exemplary conduct by sacrificing their holidays and being away from their families. He prayed for peace, prosperity and progress of Pakistan. He said that we want Pakistan to become such a country where there are Zakat givers but none of Zakat takers.
