Hussainiyat is to stand by the oppressed: Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri

Chairman of MQI Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri has said that standing by the oppressed is Hussainiyat, whereas spreading mischief and chaos is Yazidiyat. He said that bringing about unity in the ranks of the Muslim Umma is the foremost responsibility of the religious scholars and dire need of the hour. He said that the message of the tragedy of Karbala is to stand up to the oppressors in support of the oppressed. He said that MQI is promoting the message of unity and togetherness from the pulpit of the Holy Prophet (SAW).

Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri made these remarks while addressing a meeting of Minhaj-ul-Quran Ulama Council held in connection with the holy month of Karbala. Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Allama Rana Muhammad Idrees, Allama Imdadullah Qadri, Allama Mir Asif Akbar, Engr. Rafique Najam, Allama Usman Sialvi and others attended the meeting.

Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that we can turn the world into a hub of peace and make Pakistan a true fortress of Islam by adopting the Hussaini thought. He asked the religious scholars to play their role in promoting unity and inter-sect harmony in the holy month. He said that Yazid was an incompetent and characterless ruler who committed the unholy act of desecrating the Islamic teachings and the message of the Quran for the sake of worldly power and privileges but Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) stood in his way like a rock and braved his oppression.

Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that the message that we get from the tragedy of Karbala is that waging a struggle against the oppressive system is the demand of our faith. He said that Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions suffered hardships on the plains of Karbala but did not submit themselves to the barbaric and characterless ruler. He said that Pakistan is passing through a critical juncture of its history, stating that we need to act upon the Hussaini thought to rid the country of all internal and external conspiracies and challenges. He said that Islam is a religion of nature that allows people of different faiths to practise their religions according to their beliefs. He said that there is a dire need to promote brotherhood, tolerance, and moderation in society. He said that we should make sure that no enemy of peace is able to tear apart our internal unity and harmony through machinations.

Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri urged the religious scholars to spread the message of tolerance, harmony, and brotherhood from the pulpit of the Holy Prophet (SAW), stating that working for bridge-building and togetherness is the dire need of the hour.
