Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri asks the rich to support poor magnanimously
MQI Founding leader Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has asked the local organizations, leaders and affluent sections of society to extend all-out support to the poor and needy during this crunch time out of resources that Allah has blessed them with. He said the people are facing one test due to the outbreak of the virus, while the rich and affluent people are facing another, that of helping the less privileged sections of society that are hit hard by the ongoing lockdown. He said there can be no better time for a donation and alms-giving than the present one.
Meanwhile, an emergency meeting was held with Brig. (r ) Iqbal Ahmad Khan in the chair to discuss the matters related to the distribution of ration among the deserving. Noorullah Siddiqui, Syed Amjad Ali Shah, Qazi Faiz-ul-Islam, Farah Naz and others attended the meeting. The meeting finalised the ration distribution plan and also decided to extend its operation to other parts of the country.
MWF Lahore distributed ration among the 300 families yesterday. The Foundation has planned to distribute the relief package in every PP constituency of Lahore. Speaking on the occasion, PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said the ration will continue to be distributed till the end of the coronavirus epidemic. He said instructions have been passed on to the district chapters.
MWF Director Syed Amjad Ali Shah, Jawad Haid, Engineer Sanaullah, Hafiz Ghulam Farid, Mazhar Alvi, Ishtiaq Hanif Mughal, Amjad Ali Qadri, Haseeb Ahmad and others were present on the occasion.
