Faith leaders attend Milad feast at MQI secretariat
The representatives of different faiths and religious scholars belonging to various schools of thought joined the Milad feast that is being held daily at the central secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI). Those who were present at the ceremony held under the subject of "Teachings of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) and the interfaith tolerance" were Allama Asim Makhdoom, Allama Zubair Abid, Allama Asghar Arif Chishti, Allama Ghulam Abbas Sherazi, Allama Ishfaq Haider Jafari and Allama Mahmood Ghaznavi.
The faith leaders in attendance of the feast were Rev. Dr. Majid Abel, Moderator Presbyterian Church of Pakistan, Dr Fr. James Chanan, Director Peace Centre Catholic Church of Pakistan, Rev Samuel Nawab, Rev Hanook Haque, Rev Saleem Khokhar, Rev Irfan, Rev Saleem Sultan, MPA Haroon Gill, Dr. Harmon Robert, Naseer Jan, Sajid Christopher, Rev Samuel Payara, Sikh leaders Sardar Darshan Singh, Sardar Sunny Singh, Sardar Giani Ranjeet Singh and Hindu leaders Prof. Serva Bhooma and Aroon Kumar.

President MQI Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur and Director Interfaith Relations Sohail Ahmad Raza and Senior Deputy Director Interfaith Relations Shahzad Ahmad Khan were also present on the occasion.
Sohail Raza thanked all the religious leaders for sparing time to attend the ceremony. They expressed their views on Mawlid-un-Nabi (pbuh). Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, in his concluding remarks, highlighted the importance of interfaith harmony and the work MQI is doing for bridge-building between various faiths and civilizations. He thanked the faith leaders for visiting the MQI secretariat.
The faith and religious leaders cut a cake together at the conclusion of the Milad feast. They prayed for peace and progress of Pakistan and humanity according to their respective religious teachings. The peace candles were lit on the occasion.
