MUL holds a ceremony to celebrate Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri's birthday

Minhaj University Lahore (MUL) organized a special function to celebrate the 70th birth anniversary of the Chairman of the Board of Governors and founder of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. Chairman Supreme Council MQI, Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri was the chief guest. Deputy Chairman BOG, Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Sajid Mahmood Shahzad, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Shahid Soroya, Deans, Directors, Faculty members, prominent personalities, and a large number of students participated in the ceremony. Administration staff, faculty members, and students of Minhaj University were given Umrah tickets through a lottery in the prestigious ceremony of the founder’s day.

Three best faculty members were awarded the Best Teacher Award while three faculty members were awarded the best researcher awards in the ceremony. Research Excellence Awards were given to Shahan Yamin Siddiqui, Faculty of Computer Science & IT, Dr. Sundus Akhtar, Faculty of Basic Sciences & Mathematics, Dr. Bilal Shoaib, Faculty of Computer Science & IT. The Best Teacher Awards were given to Dr. Fazeelat Bano, Ms. Ammara Nazir, and Ms. Ammara Maqsood.

Minhaj University Lahore awarded the Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri Scholarship to the various students. Scholarships worth Rs. 1 million were given to talented students in a special ceremony held at the university on the founder's day. Scholarships were awarded after the test which was held on 11.02.2021.
