Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri calls for extreme precaution during the third wave of Covid-19
In a message to the MQI and PAT workers and the people of Pakistan, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that that the third wave of coronavirus has become very severe and deeply concerning. He said that it is more intense than the first and the second wave. He asked the people to strictly act upon the advice and guidelines prescribed by the national and international organizations to protect themselves from the infection.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri expressed his serious concern about the fact that despite all the dire warnings, the culture of wearing masks has not taken root. Neither is social distancing being maintained, acts of commissions that have led to severe health problems as well as an increase in the mortality rate across the country. He said that he who suffers from this deadly virus knows its seriousness and gravity. He said that whosoever are safe from the disease by the grace of Allah Almighty should express their gratitude and take complete precaution, implement SOPs, religiously, stating that extreme care is so far the best treatment.
The MQI leader appealed to the nation to be extra careful and protect their own health and that of their loved ones. He said that whenever they have to step out, they must wear masks, no matter what. He said that permission to wear a double mask is being given in Western countries. He said that in case of an unavoidable meeting, one should maintain a distance of 6 to 8 feet and wear a mask, avoiding physical handshakes. "Avoiding crowded places is also a must in this fight", he added.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri also gave instructions to the management of Minhaj University Lahore, Nizam-ul-Madaris Pakistan, COSIS, Minhaj College for Women, Girls School, Tehfeez-ul-Quran, Minhaj Education Society, Aghosh Orphan Care Home to strictly comply with the SOPs. He urged them not to leave any stone unturned to take extreme precaution. He prayed to Allah Almighty to grant early recovery to the sick and rest the departed souls in peace.
