“Love Circles Around: Quaid Day 2022” by Shaykh Hammad Mustafa al-Madani al-Qadri

On the seventy-first birthday of Shaykh-ul-Islam, members of Minhaj-ul-Quran International celebrate all across the world. It has been the tradition of prophets, saints and sages to commemorate the innumerable blessings that Allah SWT bestows. The Lord Almighty SWT commands us to do so:

وَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ

“And proclaim (well) the bounties of your Lord.” [Q. 93:11]

The highest imperative is to not only recognise, but to also celebrate whatever blessing and bounty is conferred upon us. This is a sign of the generosity of the heart and abundance of gratefulness that a believer has.

The presence of Shaykh-ul-Islam is a magnificent treasure that Allah SWT and the beloved Prophet PBUH have bestowed upon us all. Shaykh-ul-Islam is an ocean of knowledge, a sea of wisdom, a chest of pearls, a source of light, the pinnacle of spirituality, and voice of reason. It is therefore the duty of all those who have been showered by Shaykh-ul-Islam’s blessings, to celebrate and rejoice. This is why Quaid Day is celebrated across the globe by thousands upon thousands of devoted followers of Shaykh-ul-Islam.

Whenever you take a glimpse at Shaykh-ul-Islam’s personality, you witness traits of great leadership. You ought to inspect only one aspect of his personality, which is seemingly modest, but magnanimous in its effect; you find then that Shaykh-ul-Islam is devoted absolutely to his family, colleagues, followers, and humanity. The law of attraction speaks to the sincerity, purity, dedication, devotion and commitment Shaykh-ul-Islam has for those he is responsible for around the world and humanity. When your entire life is a bundle of positivity, love, affection, and sincerity; you are then surrounded by an aura of purity and light. Shaykh-ul-Islam’s entire personality is centred around this devotion and dedication to humanity. In equal measure and reciprocity, those around him, those who meet him and those who get to know him are immediately pulled by his ambience of purity, light, affection and sincerity.

‘What goes around, comes around’.

A brief example of this phenomenon is Shaykh-ul-Islam’s recent discovery of the use of the smartphone to express his sincere care, affection and love for his family, colleagues, followers, and wider society in general. Almost on a daily basis, Shaykh-ul-Islam facetime’s (videocalls) all of his immediate family members one-by-one, followed by family friends, members of Minhaj-ul-Quran and followers. Shaykh-ul-Islam expresses his deep care and sincere curiosity on the well-being of those around him and those he cares for. Without fail, Shaykh-ul-Islam will call or video-call to check-in on a daily basis. This develops a connection and nexus between Shaykh-ul-Islam and his family, friends and followers all around the world. ‘A bond forms that can never break’. [highlight quote]

This is just one insight into Shaykh-ul-Islam’s personality and daily routine. What you find in all aspects of Shaykh-ul-Islam’s life is the same sincerity and devotion; whether it is his research, his lectures, his leadership and his service for humanity.

You are the author of your own life. You can choose to live however you wish to. If you wish to receive the bounty and blessings of Allah Almighty SWT; if you desire a place in the hearts of people; then you must study the life of Shaykh-ul-Islam. Unravel the sincerity in his heart, devotion in his work, commitment to his principles, affection for humanity and infinite desire to keep going.
