CWC reviews flood rescue & relief operations under MWF
A meeting of the Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI) Central Working Council (CWC) was held here at the central secretariat with Chairman Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri. The meeting reviewed the ongoing rescue and relief operations being carried out under the banner of Minhaj Welfare Foundation.
Engineer Sanaullah Khan, coordinator flood relief activities, briefed the meeting about the details of the relief activities. He said that relief camps have been set up at more than 10 affected places where people are being provided food. He said that make-shift schools, and mosques have been established for the children, adding that water pumps have also been installed. He said that MWF workers rescued hundreds of people and housed them in safe places. He said that the MWF volunteers are working day in and day out in the service of the flood victims.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri lauded the efforts of MWF and said that millions of our country men, women and children are facing the worst tragedy in history. He said that the affluent sections of society should keep helping them till their rehabilitation. He said that public service is a form of worship that has great rewards in the eyes of Allah. He said that the provision of food and medicine is among the priorities of MWF. He also demanded that the government should pay compensation for the damaged houses and crops.

(r ) Iqbal Ahmad Khan, Muhammad Rafique Najam, Noorullah Siddiqui, GM Malik, Rana Idrees, Syed Altaf Hussain Shah, Jawwad Hamid, Rana Fayyaz Ahmad Khan, Raja Zahid Mahmood, Dr Farah Naz, Sidra Karmat, Dr Mumtazul Hassan Barvi, Arif Chaudhry, Mir Asif Akbar, Ain-ul-Haq Baghdadi, Sohail Ahmad Raza, Altaf Randhawa, Rana Nafees Hussain Qadri, and Sardar Shakir Mazari attended the CWC meeting.
