The 39th Annual International Mawlid-un-Nabi (pbuh) Conference 2022

Addressing the 39th International Mawlid-un-Nabi (pbuh) Conference, MQI founding-leader and patron-in-chief Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said that those who fight in the name of religion and turn academic difference of opinion into sectarian enmity have forgotten the real teachings of Islam. He said that Islam has been a religion of peace, love and harmony right from the day of its inception. He said we need to follow the teachings of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in order to achieve oneness, solidarity and progress of Muslim Ummah. He said that the beloved Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) of Allah would deal with his opponents softly and with respect. He (peace and blessings be upon him) would invite the followers of other faiths to embrace Islam in return for double the peace. He (peace and blessings be upon him) would never say that they would be annihilated for rejecting the invitation to join the fold of Islam.

Shaykh-ul-Islam said that the mode of preaching adopted by the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was based on empathy, wisdom, and compassion. He said we need to ask ourselves whether the attitude we adopt and the manner of speech we have for our fellow Muslims on religious matters is in line with the spirit of the teachings of our beloved Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He said if we claim to establish an emotional bond of love and reverence with our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), then we should focus on improving our morals and improve our character.

Chairman Supreme Council of MQI Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, President of MQI Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Nazim-Aala Khurram Nawaz Gandapur also appreciated the day and night hard work and efforts of Jawad Hamid and his entire team for the excellent arrangements.

Chairman MQI Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, President MQI Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Secretary General MQI Khurram Nawaz Gandapur and Brig. (r) Iqbal Ahmad Khan welcomed the guests including religious scholars and foreign delegations on their arrival in the spiritual gathering.

His Excellency al-Shaykh Dr. Ibrahim Salih al-Sayyid Sulayman al-Hudhud (former President of al-Azhar University, Egypt) and Prof. Ahmad Mahmood Hassan Sharif (al-Azhar Mosque, Egypt) attended the gathering and delivered speeches. The proceedings of the Conference got underway with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Qari Allah Bakhsh Naqshbandi, and Qari Khalid Hameed Kazmi. Thousands of people including women and children attended the International Mawlid-un-Nabi (pbuh) Conference. The greetings and salutations were offered on the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) at the conclusion of the Conference. Dua was made for peace, prosperity and progress of the country.
